Meet our Operations Executive, Tatiana Duarte, and learn more about her job at TSR Select, what she enjoys about her role, and how she spends her free time.
1) What is your role? What type of activities does your job include?
My job at TSR is Operations Executive, and I mainly work with data analysis, creating reports, and developing and implementing new administrative systems and practices. I also work together with our Marketing Manager, Lori, on different marketing projects.
2) What is your previous work experience?
My work experience is quite broad, spanning several different industries in Brazil and the United Kingdom, such as Banking, Charities, Retail, and Food, for example. I have been working in diverse roles for 11 years, but in 2020 I also decided to start my own business as a Holistic Therapist, which I have been working on ever since.
3) What interested you in IT recruiting?
I have always liked helping people and the IT recruitment industry interested me because it enables me, together with the rest of the team, to help people find a role that fits their skills and in which they feel fulfilled.
Since we spend so many hours a day working, I believe that it is very important for people to find a job where they feel appreciated and can develop themselves on a professional and personal level.

4) What does your typical day look like?
I work part-time at TSR on two mornings per week. Currently, I'd say that I don't have a typical working day, since I am still in the process of updating a few systems and implementing new processes.
I really enjoy this, because it allows me to be creative and also analyse different pieces of information.
5) What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I have a young Cavalier King Charles Spaniel pup and I love to take her for short and long walks whenever I can, especially in the woodland.
My husband and I love to travel, and we are always planning different trips to explore new places and get to know different cultures.
I also work quite a lot on growing my own business, and even when I am not working, I normally spend a good amount of time studying and developing myself on a personal and spiritual level.

6) What is one unknown fact about you?
One unknown fact about me is that I have a MA in International Relations and have worked closely with refugee women, which made me see the reality about their lives and what they go through in their journey as refugees.
This encouraged me to start working as a holistic therapist, mainly working with women in an emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual level. I also financially support charities who support and empower refugee women in the UK, which is something that I really believe in.
