We are delighted to welcome Vish Bhogaita back to the TSR Select team. Prior to the pandemic, he worked for TSR for 5 years. He has returned to oversee the placement of IT technical candidates into Cloud, Cyber, and Managed Service roles and help companies to build strong teams with qualified IT staff.
Recently, Vish, our Senior Technical Recruitment Consultant sat down tell us more about his role at TSR Select, the work he does, and bit more about himself.
1) What is your role at TSR Select?
I am a Senior IT Recruitment Consultant, which means I look for opportunities for candidates from mid to senior level. I've been working in the IT recruitment sector for over 5 years.
2) What is your background and previous work experience?
I have been in various sales-related roles since 2005. Initially in my career, I started working with Sky TV. I then happened into a recruitment position with Reed Accountancy. I enjoyed recruitment so I have been working in that type of role ever since.

3) What interested you in working in IT technical recruiting?
I'm a geek at heart. Plus, I really enjoy talking tech with people - be it candidates or clients.
4) How do you help clients and candidates?
I place technical candidates into Cloud, Cyber, and Managed Services providers. I focus on placing qualified candidates in roles as 1st/2nd/3rd Line engineers, as well as SDMs, Security Engineers, Heads of Department, and more.
5) What does your typical day look like?
My day involves conducting technical screening, resume reviewing, scheduling interviews, preparing candidates for interviews, and collaborating with hiring managers. No two days are exactly the same.

6) What do you enjoy most about your job?
I take a lot of satisfaction from helping people move forward in their careers, as well as helping hiring managers build teams - it's all about relationships for me.
7) What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my children, I like socialising, and I play cricket on a weekly basis. I also watch Formula 1 from practice to live races. Plus, I'm a massive Arsenal fan!
8) Finally, can you share one unknown fact about you?
I am trained in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)! I was trained in 2010 when I was working at Sky. I was one of five people selected to complete the training based on my sales skills and previous successes. NLP focuses on thoughts, language, and patterns of behaviour with the aim of more successful communication.
