We are assisting a company that have a need for a Project Manager/Technical PM to replace an existing team member. Projects vary from client to internal and cover a wide variety of things like migrations, large laptop rollouts and onboarding customers.

The primary task will be to review, enhance, and implement a comprehensive PM function within the business. The role combines technical expertise with project management and the primary task will be to review, enhance, and implement a comprehensive project management system tailored to the organisation’s needs. This will include analysing existing project management practices, identifying areas for improvement, and developing a scalable, efficient solution that optimises workflows, and supports consistent project delivery across the business. Ensuring that all processes are documented and that training on the system is delivered to the team is also essential.

Project Management:

  • Owning and managing all projects across the organisation
  • Project monitoring
  • Resource planning
  • Client communication
  • Risk management
  • Creating standard project templates
  • Ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into future project templates
  • Strategic reporting to key stakeholders

As an additional skill the following would be good but is not essential.

Delivery of technical projects:

  • Serve as a technical resource for projects delivering system implementations, migrations, configurations and security audits
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Collaborate with the technical teams to design and implement IT solutions
  • Ensure technical documentation is created and up-to-date
  • Assist with post implementation support and basic training to clients
