As an IT Field Engineer you will provide on-site hardware, software, and network support for multiple client businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Service: Troubleshoot on-site workstations, servers, printers, and network gear
- Infrastructure: Deploy firewalls, switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and patch panels
- Project Work: Execute office moves, cloud migrations, and hardware refreshes
- Documentation: Update PSA/RMM tickets accurately with clear resolution
Required Technical Skills
- Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN
- Systems: Windows 11, Windows Server, macOS, Microsoft 365
- Identity & Cloud: Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Google Workspace
- Security/Backup: MFA, endpoint protection, and backup appliances (e.g., Veeam)
- MSP Tools: Experience with PSA/RMM platforms
Essential Qualifications & Soft Skills
- Experience: 3+ years in professional IT support, ideally within an MSP
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft role-based credentials
- Travel: Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transport for client visits
- Communication: Strong client-facing demeanor and independent problem-solving
Salary range is £40,000-45,000, depending on experience with certifications and mileage paid for.
