We're delighted to welcome Kabir Limbu to TSR Select! He recently joined us as a Recruitment Consultant specialising in cyber security recruitment, and we sat down with him to find out more about his background, what drew him to IT recruitment, and what he gets up to when he's not at his desk.
From Door-to-Door Sales to IT Recruitment
Kabir's route into recruitment wasn't a straight line. He started out in door-to-door sales, working across home improvement services, and charities, before moving into ERP software recruitment across the UK and Ireland — a role that saw him manage the full recruitment lifecycle from start to finish.
"I developed a passion for programming and technology since year 8, and I completed my Diploma in Computer Engineering," Kabir explains. "I've also always enjoyed working with people and building relationships. IT recruitment lets me combine both — helping clients find the right talent and supporting candidates as they advance their careers."
Kabir has now worked in IT recruitment for over five years, joining our team in July 2026.
A Specialist in Cyber Security Recruitment
At TSR Select, Kabir recruits cyber security professionals for MSPs, MSSPs, and cyber consultancies across the UK. His role covers everything from building relationships with clients and understanding their hiring needs, through to sourcing and engaging skilled candidates, and managing the process for both sides.
"I specialise in permanent cyber security recruitment, helping organisations in the cyber security service provider and consultancy space find the right talent for their teams," he says. "I work closely with clients to understand their technical requirements, company culture, and long-term hiring goals, then identify and engage the right professionals to match."
For candidates, Kabir takes the same relationship-first approach — understanding their experience and career ambitions, and helping them find opportunities that genuinely fit.
A Day in Kabir's Working Life
Kabir's day starts at 8:30am, reviewing his schedule and prioritising tasks before diving into calls with clients and candidates from 9am — following up on hiring needs, discussing career opportunities, and managing expectations on both sides.
Throughout the day, he splits his time between business development — connecting with new clients and exploring opportunities — and sourcing, building talent pipelines of cyber security professionals and matching them to the right roles. Before logging off, he reviews progress, updates his pipeline, and plans for the day ahead.
What He Enjoys Most
Ask Kabir what he likes most about the job, and the answer is simple: "I enjoy meeting people, understanding their needs, and helping them achieve their goals."
Outside of Work
When he's not recruiting, Kabir enjoys travelling and learning about new cultures, watching football (no favourite team — he just enjoys the game), and has recently taken up DIY home projects.
The Fun Fact
Here's one you might not expect: Kabir was born in Hong Kong, is Nepalese by nationality, went to school in India, and the UK, where he did his college and university studies.
"Having lived and studied across four different countries, I've developed a love for adapting to new environments, experiencing different cultures, and meeting people," he says.
