As the year draws to a close here at TSR, our financials show a steady trajectory, up from last year. As we look forward to 2024, optimism illuminates our outlook in spite of the turbulence we have all experienced over the last 12 months.

We live in a world where global events continue. The ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza undoubtedly breed some apprehension and contemplation about what the future holds at a macro level.

Also in the broader economic landscape changes are happening at a micro level. The era of 'unicorns' appears to have waned, with companies pivoting their focus toward profitability over unrestrained growth.

This shift translates to cost-cutting measures, primarily workforce reductions— a phenomenon witnessed for the first time in a generation. This is undoubtedly a competitive job market for candidates.

Initially confined to big tech, these cutbacks have now rippled across the entire economic spectrum. Despite this, it's not the market forces that underpin my confidence in our business; rather, it's an internal realisation within TSR.

Throughout the pandemic, our business, like many, navigated uncharted waters. Yet, over the past 3 to 4 months, a clarity has emerged, who we are, what we do, and why we excel.

Reflecting on 2023 & Looking Forward to 2024

We remain an IT recruitment agency that specialises in 1st/2nd/3rd Line Engineers, Service Desk Managers, Service Delivery Managers, Technical Consultants, and Sales staff within the Cloud, Cyber Security, and Managed Service space, among others.

All TSR personnel work fully remotely. We offer high-quality, remote working jobs where motivated, clever, and hard-working people can earn in excess of £50,000 per year through 360 recruiting, helping both candidates and clients. Over the past year, we have built our technical and sales recruitment teams further to staff for success. First, we welcomed back Vish as a Senior Technical Recruitment Consultant with George joining his team as an IT Techincal Recruitment Consultant. While on the sales side of the agency, Kamila joined our Sales Director, Luke's team.

Reflecting on 2023 & Looking Forward to 2024

We have a fully developed marketing function, and our SEO work has drastically changed both our rankings within search engines and also our profile in the sectors we specialise. As we enter the New Year, we are undergoing a rebrand under the direction of our Marketing guru, Lori to sustain the momentum.

Operationally, we have continued to develop. The use of JobAdder has been augmented with the use of Aircall, while LinkedIn Recruiter is more integral than ever. While Tatiana, our Operations Manager, operates robust internal systems that keep us organised and operating efficiently.

We are a company with a clear identity; we know who we are, we understand what we are trying to do, and why we are in business. We have a culture that works, that we believe in, and a great team of people to implement it.

Combine this with great clients, candidates who like us and respect what we do, and a desire to do a good job (not just enhance our bottom line), so the year ahead is well primed for success!
