This opportunity is to join an IT managed services provider, with two office sites in Borough Market and West Sussex. The role however is remote, with team meetings usually held in London when necessary. They meet virtually for most meetings.

The role is Business Development Manager, although there is no cold calling. The CEO is clear that he doesn’t believe this works. Instead they use 2 lead generation agencies, digital lead generation, and their networks/networking events to produce opportunities. This role is to qualify in and out those opportunities, attend events and client meetings, and close business.

The business is run by Directors who have previously built up, and successfully run and sold MSPs; and this is their new venture. They are really nice guys, with lots of industry experience and contacts, passionate about growing businesses and helping customers. The business is 3 years old, already 16 people, producing £3.5m turnover, and on an upward growth trajectory.

Their target market and current client base ranges from 20-3,000 users. They focus primarily on the M in SME (midmarket, several hundred users).
They sell service desk support, managed IT services, project work, AI, cloud and security services – main vendor partners are Microsoft, Sophos and Cisco Meraki.

Salary is £50,000-60,000 plus uncapped commission.
